Pain in the Neck

I really tweaked my neck/shoulder weightlifting Monday. So much so that I was to endure a nearly unendurable pain until the next morning when the pain had subsided into a chronic annoyance. It’s Tuesday night and I’ve been on a muscle relaxer for about 24 hours and pain killers for a day and a half. The pain is still there and I have very little neck mobility. What a pain in the neck! I think I’m supposed to be reflecting on what I did wrong in my work-out, but I’m not really coming up with anything. A buddy of mine said that my limbs are so long that any amount of poor form in my weightlifting is likely to make bigger problems in my body than most. I can believe that. I also need to have my neck checked out because it has been having problems off and on now for a month. Bleh.

A personal trainer could help you with avoiding that in the future.
