Awwwww, man! That’s sad. Who now will stand and take this charge? Is there no man to brave these fickle waters and guide our vessel to green lands of plenty? If I here of something good, I’ll drop it hear so there will be at least two vikings to plunder the hoard.

I got an answer from Atlanta Swedish Consulate. No festival past couple years, and not going to be one this year (2011). I guess parties inolved got tired of it, or too expensive.

I don’t think date I quoted in earlier message, festival being Oct 8, 2011 is correct. I got that info from a message that was from 2007, I believe. Think the Scandinavian Festival has pretty much been cancelled last few years, but don’t know for sure. If you find anything about it, thanks if you post a message back on here. ( I sent a similar message to Atlanta Swedish Consulate, because they have participated in the past, but they have not responded.) Thank you.

Thanks for reminding me of the festival! I looked around, but I can’t tell if it’s actually happening this year. Oglethorpe doesn’t mention it on their “events.” I’ll call around and see what I can find out.

Always seem to miss this event also. They (Scandanavian Festival officials) need to get the information about it out to the public better. Cannot not even find their website. But think the event is next weekend Sat Oct 8, 2011 if I read the information correctly. P.S. i like the event better when it was in Marietta at Cobb Civic Center, even if further away. Seemed like more acitivities and displays there.
