Java Log

When first presented with the idea of a java log, one may summon visions of bad dietary intake resulting in compacted bowels and inevitably, the java log. That is not the case and I beg you to stick around to discover the beauty behind what you just thought might very well be a fecal fantasy.… Continue reading Java Log

Prophylactic Conscience

I’ve been married nearly 10 years now and I still have a slight problem with buying condoms. I’m embarrassed, generally because of my selection process. I should go over all the products and analyze their characteristics, weighing in their cost. I should do this, because that is what I do with everything else I buy.… Continue reading Prophylactic Conscience

Where the Rubber Meets the Road

I just ordered new tires for the Mazda3. It was a temultuous saga for me that has spanned several weeks now of research and stress. I’m the kind of guy that will research a product to death and still be concerned that I’m not getting the best value for my dollar. Normally, I’ve always just… Continue reading Where the Rubber Meets the Road

Kibbles Wrap-Up

I know you have lot’s of questions,… Continue reading Soylent Green is People, This is Not

If we’re among the first 20 to do so, we’ll get a free copy of her… Continue reading Weight Watcher’s Recipes (circa 1974)

How I Work

The longest amount of time spent, and time I am unable to account for, is research. Depending on the topic, I may spend a week pouring through as many references I can find on a particular subject to get a real good feel for the information. If I don’t require reference material as I write, it goes much quicker.

Heritage Family Library

The Heritage Family Library sent me the Young Peoples’ Atlas in the mail recently. This is one of those books that they ask for money in order to put your name in them, thereby granting you some imagined fame. It infuriates me that they’ve sent a product to my doorstep, telling me nothing about it,… Continue reading Heritage Family Library

Google Speaks H4x0r

It turns out that one of Google’s many language options is “H4x0r.” Now the l33t have somewhere to conduct there searches besides astalavista.box.sk. Among some other humorous ones were Elmer Fudd, the Swedish Chef, Klingon, and Pig Latin. From a purely geeky perspective, I dug the Latin language option too. Being somewhat of a linguist… Continue reading Google Speaks H4x0r
